Hooktree or Poison Well. Cactus. 10 feet tall, squat, water is drinkable for 30 years, but bitter. Rare, found in driest parts of hardpan desert only. Has only been found in Pizandra. Not actually poison. Sucsceptible to sicknesses and rot. Variations: common (brown), blue, flowered, baby. Most people view them as bad omens and cut them down. They attract scavengers. Associated with death and sickness. Many believe ancestors of Fashamaks were Crayribbins which served as oasis for Naraoi, and it corrupted the plant. Early generations of the plant made those who drank it vulnerable to possession, but eventually this effect wore off. The negative associations and bad taste remained.
