Boxmoss. Moss. Rocky mountainous areas. This moss needs rock and very little soil or moisture. It thrives in cold temperatures, high wind, and violent storms to balance out its growth. Warmer and more hospitable environments trigger a rapid aging and wet rot response. Grows in caves and under rock. Still must avoid direct sunlight for extended periods of time. But of all mosses, can withstand the most sunlight due to the other harsh aspects of the environment. Harshest, spindly, almost black, crustiest, driest, and nastiest of all most types. Smells like birds and animals of high elevations, and attracts them.
